Thank you for showing interest in our
2024 Christmas Variety Show
Fundraiser!

On December 20th at 10 am, head over to Opinionated Lushes’ YouTube Page. We will be hosting a pre-recorded variety show to raise money for three different causes in our community. If you have been a fan of ours for a while now you know this is our third year raising money for our community.

All donations collected will be split among Epilepsy South Central Ontario, Community Fridges in Hamilton, and Little Free Libraries. None of these supports get government funding and rely heavily on donations and fundraising from others.

Each of us has a reason for picking who we are raising money for:

Epilepsy South Central Ontario “As most of our listeners know, epilepsy has personally touched my family. There's misinformation and lack of information out there in regards to epilepsy and I feel the Epilepsy South Central Ontario has worked hard in our area to fill in those gaps. Did you know Epilepsy is not in the government budget (of a country with "universal healthcare")? That is why I chose to donate to them”.

Community Fridges in Hamilton Ontario “I believe everyone should have access to food. With the cost of living through the roof and barely any relief being offered by the government, more and more people are struggling with the costs of food. I chose to raise money to stock these community fridges because of how accessible they are to everyone. They are open 24 hours a day and you do not need to sign up or meet any income bracket.”

Free Little Libraries in Hamilton Ontario “I chose Free Little Libraries because reading is important to me. As a child who was illiterate growing up, I know how hard it can be to learn how to read. Another challenge is to find the right story to get lost in and fuel that urge to continue building up your reading comprehension skills. These little libraries around the community allow you to borrow a book for as long as you need without penalty or judgment.”
